Finding Calm in the Chaos: Why Now’s the Time to Take Care of You
If you’ve ever worked as a first responder, healthcare provider, or in any high-stress job, you already know what it’s like to live in “go mode.” You show up for others on their worst days, handle situations most people couldn’t imagine, and somehow keep it all together. And over time, that constant readiness, always being the helper, can wear on you.
That’s exactly why I started 1023 Wellness Collective.
A Space for the Helpers
After spending more than 25 years in both emergency services and healthcare, and 8 years as a Peer Support Specialist, I’ve learned something important: even the strongest people need a place to breathe. I’ve seen how carrying years of stress, trauma, and “just one more shift” can build up quietly until it feels like too much.
I wanted to create a space for people like us, those who spend so much time taking care of everyone else, to finally take care of themselves.
Now, as a mental health intern, I’m offering therapy sessions at a very low cost, or even no cost at all. It’s a great opportunity to try therapy in a space that really gets the world you come from. And while I’m still in training, I bring decades of real-life experience to the work—so this isn’t textbook therapy. It’s human, grounded, and built on understanding.
Real Talk About Therapy
Therapy doesn’t have to mean you’re in crisis. Sometimes it’s about finding your footing again, learning to slow down, or just having a safe place to unpack the things you can’t talk about anywhere else.
At 1023 Wellness Collective, you won’t have to explain what it’s like to respond to trauma, to witness loss, or to feel responsible for others’ safety. You can just be without judgment, without pressure.
You Deserve Support Too
If you’ve ever told someone else to “reach out” or “get help,” maybe now it’s your turn. You’ve spent a career showing up for others. It’s time to show up for yourself.
1023 Wellness Collective was created for people like you, the helpers, the healers, the ones who keep going. Let’s take that next step toward your own wellness, together.
Reach out today. You’ve got nothing to lose, and maybe a lot of peace to gain.
