You Can’t Pour from an Empty Cup — And That’s Okay

There’s a saying we hear all the time in helping professions: “You can’t pour from an empty cup.” It sounds nice, but let’s be honest, it’s a hard concept to live by when your job is literally built around serving others. Whether you’re a first responder, healthcare provider, or in another high-stress role, you’ve probably gotten used to putting everyone else first.
